Samantha Ramirez is one of our Salutatorians and is graduating with a 4.54 GPA. Maintaining her grades while participating in extracurricular activities such as Sobobans, National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, Big Brother/Big Sister, the Secretary of Power to Change, and participating in Miss Cardinal (and being recognized as Miss Congeniality) is truly a balancing act not many can accomplish.
Her dream for the future is to either be a social worker or a patient advocate. “The hardest thing I had to overcome was working through all of the pressure that I had on my shoulders,” Samantha said.
After interviewing Katrina Rosas, one of her good friends, she said “Sam is somebody who has the determination and the will to do whatever she wants. She knows how to overcome obstacles and how to rise to the occasion. In ten years I see her as the top social worker in a big house with a happy family. Sam has showed me that it is possible to do whatever you want, no matter what people say about you. She is an amazing person and I am proud to call her my friend.”
