The first football game of the season was at home against Desert Mirage on Friday, Aug. 19. It was all Cardinals as they kept Desert Mirage out of the end zone all night, culminating in a 76-0 win.

Highlights of the Night:

Junior quarterback Xavier Alvarez dominated the game as he was a perfect 10/10, passing for 183 yards and three passing touchdowns. He also ran for 148 yards on 13 carries and five rushing touchdowns with two 2-point conversions. His performance earned him SBVC Inland Empire High School player of the week honors.

Kyron Crain ran for 103 yards on eight carries, with a touchdown. George Jones scored a rushing touchdown, and came up with an interception and forced fumble on defense.
