With Miss Cardinal slowly approaching, we have been able to get one-on-one interviews with the lovely Miss Cardinal contestants to better understand who they are off the pageant runway. 

Sofia Dominguez is a funny, hard-working, and sweet-hearted girl who is ready to impress from the runway to the race track. Miss Dominguez is a varsity Cross Country and Track runner who also enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, and being with family.

Miss Dominguez, I’ve noticed that you really loved your family. Why is that?

Dominguez hesitates a little, thinking a little before answering. She really loves her family because they have done so much for her that she wants to give back to them,  especially her parents, since they have gone through so much to give her and her siblings a good life.

How do you plan to give back to your parents?

With that Dominguez lights up and says that she is going to attend a four-year university, get her degree in the major she decides, and pursue her dream career. With the money she earns, she wants to give a portion to her parents to give them a life they wish they could have had.

Okay, Miss Dominguez it says in your bio that you have many skills and talents. Did you inherit these talents from your parents or family? Especially, your talent of running?

In the mention of running, Dominguez was quick to respond, stating that most of her skills and talents do come from her family,  such her passion of baking and being a sweetheart. But as for her talent of running, no one in her family enjoys running and she believes that her talent of running was a gift of God to use.

Miss Dominguez, what is your definition of family?

She took her time and began to move her teacup around, but her response was true to her nature. “Family are the people who raised me and help remind me constantly that they love me. They support me and give me good laughs. Family sacrifice no matter what to help each other because of love. When things get rough, a family’s love can conquer anything. I am never alone because I have a family. Family always helps each other grow. We are in this together. Family is a beautiful blessing that God has given me. I am just so thankful and blessed.”
