There are many job sin the world that can express who you are or who you want to be as a person. Yet not many people say that they want to become a children’s animator. Jennifer Ramirez, one of SBHS’s Miss Cardinal contestants is one of the few whose dream is to become just that.

“I want to give children a role model,” she said. “I had that when I was younger.” Ramirez feels a career in this field would aid her in building a relationship with children and their creative minds.

Ramirez’s creative spirit was inspired by her childhood. “I grew up watching cartoons. I still watch them. They push and inspire my creativity,” she said. Laughing, Ramirez also said, “the lots of free time I have since I don’t really do that much after school” also inspires creativity.

Perhaps participating in the Miss Cardinal pageant will further inspire her creative side. At this point, she said, “I hope to gain confidence in myself and the ability to push myself forward.”
