What prompted you to join Mr. Cardinal?
My friends made me join.
What’s your favorite song right now?
“When You Die” by Mgmt
What movies are you excited about coming out?
Avenger’s Infinity War! I love comics. 🙂
What college would you like to go to?
I’d love to go to Pepperdine University. It’s not that far from home and it’s close to the beach!
What do you think your life will be like in ten years?
Living on a ranch, with a wife, two kids, and two dogs – probably yorkies.
What’s your favorite animal and why?
Horses are my favorite. They’re free and even under pressure, they still do the work that needs to be done.
What country would you like to visit and why?
I’ve wanted to visit England since I was little and I want to visit Germany because of the culture. Basically, I’m fascinated with most of Europe.
What’s your favorite car and why?
A 1975 Chevy Nova. It’s a classic, simple car.
What got you into Stephen King?
I saw that IT was coming out so when I saw the book, I got a copy and read it. Another book of his that caught my attention is Gunslinger from the Dark Tower series.
You probably have many amazing memories from your time as a Mr. Cardinal contestant. What are your favorites?
Definitely the first event when we volunteered to be ushers at the California Theatre and then going to Inn-N-Out afterwards. That day we all made a pact to stay in Mr. Cardinal.
Why do say “extravagant” is a good word to describe yourself?
I like to add more emphasis to things. An example of this is when once a drunk couple thought they were at a Quinceanera, but they weren’t. So my friend and I pretended it was and brought a girl on stage to do the dance.
Is there anything else I should have asked you, but didn’t? Or anything else you’d like to add or say?
I would just like to add that I would like to invite people to come see Mr. Cardinal.
Come out and watch Yair compete for the crown of Mr. Cardinal on April 7th at the Sturges Center! Doors open at 5 pm and the show begins at 6 pm!
