On November 16th, 2017, the 4th Annual Latino History Bee took place in Pacific High school’s auditorium where San Bernardino High, Cajon High, Shandin Hills Middle, Richardson Prep, and Arrowview Middle competed to represent their schools in a war of knowledge of Latin history, art and poetry. After a strenuous competition, San Bernardino High students Alonso Sanchez, Alfonso Sanchez and Shelly Ortiz won all three places at the History Bee. 1st place was claimed by Alonso Sanchez winning an Apple watch and Latino History Bee wall plaque. In 2nd place, Alfonso Sanchez won an Bose Soundlink speaker and Skullcandy headphones. Last, but surely not the least, 3rd place was awarded to Shelly Ortiz, who won a $100 Best Buy gift card.
