Red Birds rule the roost

In their first game of the season, the San Bernardino Cardinals defeated the visiting Fontana High Steelers, 36-14.

The running game was on display Friday, August 18, 2023 as the Cardinals rushed for 473 of 477 total yards. The Cardinals scored five touchdowns and converted three of five 2-point conversions attempts.

QB Xavier Alvarez rushed for 49 yards on 8 carries, scoring 1 touchdown.
