The play, Almost Maine, written by John Cariani and directed by Olivia Parker was a must-see! Many people underestimate the talent of high schoolers, but the SBHS Thespians proved those doubters and critics wrong with an impressive performance. Almost Maine is a production consisting of nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine. The prologue was performed by Daniel Laing (Pete) and Jaelynn Tate (Ginette). Her Heart cast was Said Bakari (East) and Brianna Virgen (Glory). Performing in Sad and Glad was Emmanuel Luna (Jimmy), Kassandra Felix (Sandrine), and Cynthia Ramirez (Waitress). The This Hurst cast was Roland Hutto (Steve) and Destiny Aguilera (Marvalyn). The students performing in Getting It Back were Daniel Laing (Lendall) and Nia Cabrera (Gayle). Act 2 began with the Interlogue, which was performed by Daniel Laing (Pete). Said Bakeri (Chad) and Carlos Cuecuecha (Randy) performed in They Fell. Where It Went’s cast included Leonardo Calvillo (Phil) and Kristie Gutierrez (Marci). The cast of Story of Hope was Justin Mendoza (Danny) and Belle Zunnaby (Hope). Finally, Act 2 concluded with Seeing the Thing, which was comprised of a cast of Carlos Cuecuecha (Dave) and Abigail Calderon (Rhonda). Great job Cardinal Thespians!
