Ivanna Beltran is a senior who is a really positive person and always finds ways to get better. She is not too hard on herself, she is someone who came here not knowing how to speak English but that didn’t stop her from trying.
“Her as a mother and as a provider, I aspire to be like her one day,” Beltran said.
Beltran is always an understanding person, and believes people should show kindness to each other, and that we should all be empathetic. She also always finds a way to make things positive.
“The weakness I have is maybe forgetting that not everything goes well the first time, and it may take more than two tries, and that’s okay because we can learn from our mistakes,” Beltran said.
This really shows how understanding of a person she is, and how she can give others confidence, how she was able to give herself confidence.
I asked her what advice she would give to her younger self and her response was a kind a positive message everyone should hear.
“To take time with certain things, such as learning English, that was really frustrating, and that everything is going to turn out good,” she said. “If it doesn’t, that’s okay, because it starts as a lesson, as a memory.”
Beltran knows how to handle discipline in the best way possible. She knows how to reflect on her actions and knows she can do better next time.
“I handle it with professionalism. I take some time alone and reflect on what happened and I try to make it positive and not think I should do this better but next time will be better,” Beltran said.
“Sometimes those setbacks could be opportunities and they help you reflect as a person,” Beltran said.
I asked Beltran what message she would want to tell the world and her response was to be kind.
“It’s very important to be compassionate and kind towards others because you never know what other people are going through,” Beltran said.
I asked her what she would do as a president and her response gave a very inspiring message.
“I would set more opportunities for people, and, as someone whose first language was not English, I would set more help towards them,” Beltran said.
Speaking of inspiring, Beltran has so many talents which really shows us that anything is possible. She can play many instruments, such as playing the violin and piano.
She has also participated in many sports such as track and tennis.
Not only that, she likes lots of other interesting things like human anatomy and medicine.
“I’m a very curious person, so I think that class made me more curious about how the body works,” Beltran said.
Beltran is a hard working person with many talents. She wants what is best for others and herself, and she is a patient and understanding person. She has so many talents and cool interests, which sums up what kind of person she is.
