Q&A with Miss Cardinal Contestant Cecilia Marin

Cecilia is a senior currently attending San Bernardino High School. She loves traveling with her Family, She has a lot of cats. She’s in Spanish Honors Society.

Cecilia: I would give them the advice to not change themselves for other people cuz it’s better to do what’s best for themselves and not what’s in others interest.

Cecilia: To just persevere through it, cuz everything eventually ends and they eventually have better times.

Cecilia: Paris, because I always wanted to go there with my family.

Cecilia: I’ll try to make the impact to encourage other people to do what they want and that they could do whatever they want cuz I’m in a lot of different things and I still can do it and so can they.

Cecilia: I think the most important values a teen can have is perseverance and their own identity.

Cecilia: I don’t really have a favorite memory. It’s normally when I’m with my family, like when I went with them to Las Vegas or Utah.

Cecilia: I will describe San Bernardino as a diverse community cuz we have all the types of people here and a lot of different things.

Cecilia: I will pick a trip around the world with my family. I love going places with them.

Cecilia: I would just like to be remembered as someone who actually did something; who joined a lot of different clubs and I am the president of Spanish Honor Society.

Cecilia: With my grandpa because he’s always been a role model to me and I’m inspired to be a good example to people just like how he did.

Cecilia: My dad, because he’s always been a good example to me and he’s always been supportive. No matter what I’m going through and whenever I need to talk to someone, I know that I can go talk to him.

Cecilia: When I went to Utah with my family and my cats.

Cecilia: In 5 years, I see myself finishing college and I will be becoming a student teacher because I want to be a teacher and I would also have my business degree to help my parents with their family business.
