February’s Must-See Movies

Peter Rabbit

This rabbit sure is rebellious! This movie centers around Peter Rabbit trying to sneak into the neighbor’s (Mr. McGregor) garden and all of the hi-jinks that ensue. This battle of wills escalates as Peter and Mr. McGregor vie for the affection of Bea, the animal-loving neighbor next door. You must watch to see who will win – the rabbit or the human. The cast includes: James Corden, Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie, Rose Byrne, Colin Moody, and more. Release Date: February 9, 2018.

This is a fabulous movie for kids and adults alike. It’s hilarious, tender, and sweet. As I was sitting in the movie theater, completely engrossed in the movie, I found I couldn’t decide which was more humorous and awesome – the action and hilarity of Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor or that the entire audience cracked up laughing numerous times during these scenes (including the teenagers and adults!). My son’s first comment at the end of the movie was, “I really loved that movie!” He really thought the moments when the rabbits were apologizing to each other were the “cutest” moments in the film and of course, he thought it was “hil-a-ri-ous” when Peter and his siblings set a trap for Mr. McGregor and all the rakes hit him in the face! “The rakes were like, bam! Bam! Bam! In his face! Ha! Ha! Ha!” This movie has fun and humor for all ages – not just little kids! ~ Review by Mrs. Schmidt and her son, Joshua.

Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and more. Release Date: February 16, 2018.
