This spooky season will definitely be different from the rest, but who says you can’t make the most of this month with a couple thriller movies to kick off the mood. Compiled in a list for you, there are binge-worthy movies to watch during your quarantine-friendly festivities this year. Get your spook on!
A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting (TV-PG) ~ A babysitter finds the kid she is taking care to be fearful of monsters and passes them off as nothing to him. Then he gets kidnapped by them. She is on a journey to take back the child who was taken from her.

13 Sins (R) ~ After receiving a strange call a salesman’s life gets turned upside down. He is told that if he completes 13 tasks he will be gifted a greater reward. The only problem is that each task gets more disturbing as the “game” he plays continues.

The Boy (PG-13) ~ An american nanny is surprised to see that the boy she is taking care of is a life-sized human doll. The parents of the boy act as though he is actually alive and give the nanny a list of tasks that need to be done. However, she decides to ignore some of the tasks and a series of eerie things begin to happen around the house convincing her that the boy is in fact alive.

The Bye Bye Man (PG-13) ~ A young couple and their friend buy a new home which seems to be great. Until they see his name and can’t forget it. “Don’t say it! Don’t think it!” he won’t stops until he gets them all.

Before I Wake (PG-13) ~ After losing their biological son, a couple adopts 8-year-old Cody. The night they take him in he warns his mom of a monster that comes when he is asleep. She brushes it off and things start to go downhill soon after.

Dark Skies (PG-13) ~ A nice family start having creepy occurrences in their house. It seems to be due to Extraterrestrial beings who mark families they choose to abduct a child from. But then again, things aren’t always as they seem.

Freaks (R) ~ A young girl who is technically a “freak” finds that she has amazing powers. The problem with that is that anyone with powers is called a freak. They are easy to tell apart from regular humans because they cry blood when their powers are used. After realizing her powers, being promised a normal life, and finding out that her mom is still alive; she has to fight for her mom and learn to control her powers.
